Starting at DL Bliss the Rubicon Trail follows along side the lake climbing up and down through lush forest and granite boulders. You can take the trail into and around Emerald Bay. We did not get that far this trip due to a late start and the goal to meet up with some others for a sunset paddle, but we managed a good six miles of pure Tahoe bliss.
We camped at Camp Richardson and enjoyed a meal at the Beacon, a favorite hang out right on the water.
